I am showing finals who is boss. (I also blame this on the caffeine in my system.)

My brother got these shades for me while ago and I have never really got in the habit of wearing them. When I drive friends around in my car, the shades are sure a good conversation piece. Everybody wants to wear them!

Since going off of caffeine I have noticed it isn’t as hard to wake up in the morning and I don’t have the drastic energy ups and downs I used to. I feel better not consuming it, but I still love my coffee, just decaf. It’s funny how some friends and family members are like— “what? decaf? you are only 23!” I am okay with it though, decaf is not only for the older folks. I have realized I feel better not consuming it and that is that. Sometimes I give in though……

Today, I gave into caffeine— I needed something to get me through studying and packing. I am so jittery— I swear caffeine is a legal drug. My run has not happened yet— but hopefully soon. I need to get this caffeine out of my system before I go crazy and start twitching all over the place. It is amazing to me how the receptors in your brain adjust so quickly when you stop consuming caffeine.

I had my two hardest finals today.

-Advanced Nutrition & Chemistry

I am so thankful this day is almost over. I still have studying to do for my final on friday, but it won’t be as mind boggling as these two were. I also have to pack, workout, clean, and sleep! Trust me, after these last couple of days I think those tasks are completely bearable.

This week has been tough. Stress out the wazoo, but I have learned to manage it better over the years. I am thankful for this and hope I continue this as the years go on. One of my roommates has been having the hardest time with stress and worry. It can be so hard to try and calm someone down when they can get worked up so easily. It is hard for me to stay calm when I have someone like that around, but living with her has taught me how to deal with this. It continues to be a good lesson and I still consider her one of my closest friends. You learn to love your friends through the ups and downs.

Anyways…..

I am so excited to go back to Oregon on saturday. I will be there bright and early-ish, waiting for hugs from my mom and step dad at the airport. Seriously, I have been looking forward to saturday for a loooooong time now. And then my brother flies in on the 23rd! Party!!!! Can’t wait to be with all the people I love.

Keep on keeping on with the challenges you face this week. Just remember to turn your cares into prayers/positive thoughts— doing this makes life a lot less complicated and stressful when we face those situations.

:D

———————————————————-

In workout news I did my A & B Circuit (that I still need to post up here!) and 2 miles on the treadmill. I would’ve  gone for a longer run, but I had to get back and study for chemistry. Tomorrow is hopefully going to be a long distance day. I NEED/WANT a long run…..!

The picture on the right is how I feel about my last 3 finals and biased teachers. I am so sick of certain students getting better treatment because they are in a specific program. It is ridiculous, but I am trying to keep my cool about it. Won’t help to get all fired up about it. One more semester and then I am gone!
Just have to keep focusing on the positive :)

* Great run, felt fast thanks to my new tunes. This day will go down in history— my ipod finally decided to update and add new songs! Yay! I haven’t had new music on my ipod for over a year. So thankful it decided to work this time.

Here is a neat DJ remix of some songs. Jillian Michaels posted it on her FB page. It is free to download and has some pretty good beats. I must say it is boring in some areas, but you can always fast forward through those areas :)

Sorry Ladies...

tribander:

Mr. Long planned the whole wedding, from the ceremony on Dec. 3 with his childhood priest, the Rev. James E. Devlin, at the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church in Marine Park, Brooklyn, to the reception at Smith & Wollensky in Manhattan, to the after-party at Third & Long.

Darn! What am I going to do now? haha

SRC 6.17 mi 00:52 08:20 pace

Much needed stress release run. Studying for finals is making me go crazy! I was happy to get out and get a run in at the SRC today.

Yesterday was supposed to be my long run, but time got away from me. I really don’t like how it is getting darker earlier. Hoping to get out there and do my long run tomorrow, maybe. I would today, but I have a study session to go to in a while.

It is amazing how running can make things/life more bearable some times. I love it!
